Though, honestly, now that the Ore Compass only shows the locations of Large Iron Nodes or any size of Palium, they sort of neutered the live map's utility

Independent but you can fake them being connected. Someone had two harvest houses on opposite sides and some decor as a fake connector in the middle of the courtyard. So it looks like one massive square from above but in reality you can’t really walk through the entire structure without passing through some doors at some point.

It can be overwhelming at first, I recommend going through the entrance in the back of the housing plot and hanging out around the outskirts/or stick to one area for iron while familiarizing yourself with the map!

A trick I use for pal mining if I want to avoid iron (but I never do since there's gems in there!) is use the game camera to zoom in on a node that I am sus of before committing to the full send. It's like using the BOTW/TOTK soghtfinder sorta. Just a tip!

i feel like in comparison to games like sky cotl the graphics look awful, but i think its bc palia is very like... world-asset heavy? if that makes sense. other games make use of particles and simpler styles, whereas palias is detailed, so when its made to fit switch it doesnt look the same as its supposed to

not being able to turn foliage on at all or see even the flowers, which you can see on pc even on the lowest settings is baffling to me

i wouldnt mind it so much if it were easier to see the bugs but it's not.. they still only appear when im like right on top of them and have already scared them off lol
