nah, I haven't done too much mining since it's been introduced. I've been lucky on my outing which is why maybe i think timing is involved. In fact, I'm super slacking in mining. I did most of my leveling in mining and foreging early on. Gardening is over 50 so I stopped keeping track after that. but I stopped mining to work on fishing which was the last skill I started after everything else was above 11 and that has taken all my time to catch up to mining.
