My, personal, selection is Norway, Denmark, Sweden, or Finland. I find they tend to have less lag than, say, UK, Germany, etc.

It's a shame that you have to use a VPN to lower ping, cause that implies the game/area has poor routing. I've only used VPNs to get based dumb region locks on things.
