It's possible, but it's also possible that everyone else in the server is a Switch player and the chat's tiny (because I heard someone say that was an issue earlier) or they didn't want to type (again a problem with Switch play, typing's a real PITA on the Switch).

Check and make sure your chat's set to "server" and not to "nearby" - that may help. But if you're still getting that response on "server", then yeah, you're in an empty server. 🙂

Oh, for NPCs or PCs? NPCs, no. They did it for PCs because when you returned to your plot, you ended up on a different instance and couldn't fulfill the request you went to you plot for.

Aha! Go into your in-game menu, and click on the news (it's the little thing that looks like a couple of pieces of paper). They should be in there. If they are not, it can take a little bit for them to arrive; check back later. Sometimes exiting/reentering the game can also make them appear. If you don't get them by tomorrow, send in a support ticket.

It automatically saves on the game servers, so you don't need to save, just close! You should be able to exit to the Switch menu.

That's a known glitch that happens when your friend's in another region - it isn't consistent but it does occasionally prevent you from syncing with people in other parts of the world from you. Unfortunately the only workaround right now is using a VPN so you show as being in the same region. It's frustrating but the devs know and I believe they're working on it.

logged in for the first time in a while to try the new huntable creatures, and the magic ones are the most unfun enemy mechanic I've found in this game lmao. If you don't keep hitting them with dispel arrows, they go invisable to the point that I literally can't see them. Apparently there's an outline? My eyes aren't good enough to see that outline. They move extremely erratically and pretty fast. They bug through hills and rocks, walking through them like they aren't there. Hunted two magic ones and just logged out immediately. Not gonna log back in to hunt them until some changes are made to them for sure. Just not even a little fun to hunt, and I've got a lot of practice hunting in this game.

Yep, and there are hardly any groups hunting them now because it's more effort than it's worth. A lot get away even in a group because there will be multiple in a tree and it's too fast to co-ordinate the group on which one to go for.

My god, Sernuk are so difficult to kill. If you can’t one-shot kill them, they run and glitch somewhere else.

They then cast a shadow clone jutsu, making you think you see them nearby. You shoot them and they glitch away and the real one appears far away, but still in your field of view.

They can be tricky! If you can, try using slowdown arrow. Those help quite a bit with the strong ones. Sometimes they are just bugged and you can’t even kill them

And structural house add-ons currently seem to be limited to 15 but some dev message from October mentioned something about that going up to 30. Along the base of cliffs and on top is where I usually find copper nodes! And if there are plain rock stones, I definitely make sure to mine those so that the copper nodes can spawn in their place (as Mompaca already mentioned). Sometimes switching servers helps for a better healthy spawn rate too if you're finding that your Kilima is bare.

My advice: have fun. Don't rush to finish all the things because most aren't time-sensitive (although the holiday questline is limited). Talk to every NPC every day to level up the friendships as that unlocks more quests. Get your skills up to at least level 10 each.

It does work! It’s just a logitech keyboard I plugged into my switch. Pretty sure any keyboard will work. Just restart your switch if it doesn’t detect it right away. You have to hold the power button down on the switch to access the restart option

You can autorun with \ in PC (in switch im not sure) so you dont get tired. Aditionally, both Kilima and Bahari have central stables so you can quickly switch between maps. Once you're at a map, you can check all local areas they have. If you need to go home, your map has a "go home" button that's free to use but you can only use every 15 minutes.

Thematically, they correspond to... the four elements and how those correlate to people. 😄 It's hard to explain much more without giving away plot, and I'm sure you might want to find the plot as you go, but don't stress -- they don't have negative connotations.

Unfortunately, you'll need to do the building yourself on the house, I believe - I don't think anyone can actually help in-game, at least. But I can tell you that you'll need stone bricks and lumber. Nobody can give you gold, but you can request lumber or stone bricks!

I'd recommend building up your skills to get the stuff -- mining stone will help build your mining skill, chopping trees or harvesting wild plants will build your foraging skill. Leveling your skills will unlock the ability to buy the plans for the sawmill or smelter from the main NPCs for those two skills (Ashura for foraging, Hodari for mining). You can sell off excess wood, the starstone gems you may find while mining, and so on to fund the gold.

So go into Kilima Valley and mine rocks and chop trees there. The ones in Kilima Valley will respawn. You can also go pick wild plants and sell those. You can then sell those off to Zeki's store to make money
