Nothing is wrong with an HP bar in of itself, but for this game? I don't know why you'd even want an HP bar, if you just wanted something to give the player a sort of "fatigue" mechanic, which is what HP is, there's other ways to do it, than to rely on an HP mechanic

HP is a fatigue mechanic, you're thinking fatigue as in like energy, stamina. Fatigue in this sense is in its literal sense, which is what HP is, a fatigue mechanic. It's essentially just a stopgap measure to keep the player from progressing once you're fatigued, death in other cases.

i know what you mean, i think a lot of it was resolving issues with not properly wrapping generic asset libraries and making sure everything worked since unreal is a massive headache.

even still, there's a few items that will just disappear after being placed due to expecting an asset and having "none" fill it with no error for it. i just hope there's a lot waiting in the wings they are just about ready to release with some additional tweaks or fixes, but that's very possibly hopium. with modern games with investors under capitalism, financial health matters far greater before gameplay longevity and other content.

no, it's like the generic libraries used for storing all the assets they have, they are a lot clunkier than making them specifically for palia since it has the opportunity for a lot more issues with the potential for saving time due to the framework already being made

yea, but they got all of the money they already wanted, this game gathered lots and i mean million of dollars to do so, and still released what it feels like, an unfinished product
if we accumulated all of the quests without the need of grind, it would be a 3-4 hours of gameplay total

that's my only problem with the game- it maked you grind to seem "long" and "worth playing", but once they get a player who really does it, the game just ends in 2 weeks maximum
