In game voice chat doesnt work for me anymore? been along time since voice chat worked in game looking for help if possible. on xbox not banned

If it's actual game chat through the game make sure you press in your touchpad or equivalent to turn on the mic icon make sure your headphones are not muted and if none of that works check your console headset mic settings.

yeah i made sure all that is working but i still don't get audio from players. and its both ways nobody can hear me/i can hear nothing from players.
i put in a ticket a week ago but no response was wondering if im chat banned or something

Not sure if your chat band or not I've never heard of it being a thing. It could be a port forwarding issue as well which goes in deeper to your actual home business apartment internet configuration in your router modem the easiest way to fix that is to enable automatic port forwarding in your router I can't think of anything else that can really cause that problem.
The setting is called upnP you can find it in your internet router settings there is all kinds of different videos and how to's for that
