if your base is only one floor upgrade ceilings to high quality metal at minimum sheet metal
if it is two floors upgrade not only the ceilings but the walls also only for bottom floor and sheet metal walls for second
now that the walls are about as much as you can do defensively, anywhere you can put a wall frame or door frame add the frame and place a door or garage door in it and remember to upgrade the frame to atleast stone and lock the door
if you have armored door even better but dont worry to much about them garage doors are great
there also is traps :shotgun trap, flame turret and auto turret. place auto turrets underneath your jump ups or beside loot areas, and shotgun traps in hidden spots that catch raiders of guard even inside the loot bay inbetween boxes
lastly would be high walls, stone or wood, when you have a compound you become a bigger raid target but no longer as easy and way less door camper's coming around. you can also add auto turrets outside to deter people from jumping into your compound. you may also want to place tool cupboards outside or alongside the wall to make sure they dont decay
