Looking to create a texture pack mod, but need skilled people to help

April fool's day gave us the hilarious hyper realistic watermelon, to thrive with our gorgeously drawn cartoony crops and honestly, it was extremely fun! It IMMIDIATELY made me edit screenshots to add realistic animal photos because the contrasting visuals just tickles my brain.

But now the melon is back to normal and @jovial loom and I feel a strong desire to make a mod, to recreate this fun occasion, but neither of us know how make mods, which is why we will need help!

Our vision is to;
Change the visuals from cartoony drawings to realistic photos

A toggle menu to enable which textures are displayed for each object (example: roses on/off, sunflowers on/off, and the same for pets)

What we need:

People with modding experience.
People who knows coding.
People who has the desire to update the mod when new crops/animals gets introduced in the future.
Copyright free photos of crops, plants and animals would be appreciated too, especially im png with transparent backgrounds.

Any feedback or encouragement or even tutorials/guide on how to make the kind of mod we're dreaming of would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for reading and have a great day

I'm not an expert and it depends on how mod friendly a games coding is, but changing textures does seem like a entry level friendly mod

i can do this, i already have a pet skin swapper. but i cant to allow users to upload ANY image, as users can just upload images of celestials and in a way 'get anything for free'

the reason i didnt release the pet skin swapper is because im not artistically talented enough to create the art - the code part is fine

so essentially i can do it if someone creates the art to use / switch between as 'texture packs'

For trees and multi-harvest plants, I was thinking of only making the crops realistic and add them on the original pic of the tree (what do you think about it?)

like transparent background and just the crop/fruit/plant/etc

I did find a website that offers free, copyright free images, sadly its a 2 downloads a day max, but i do really like the sunflower and carrot I found :3

I was looking for some small puddles but didnt find anything. They only had photos of flooded streets or lakes. An idea for dawn/amber could be northern lights

for all the assets used, the more that it looks like the original MG counterpart, the better it will fit into the game

like in shape/dimensions/perspective

the tools almost ready (its integrated in QPM rn bc to have it on its own id have to rebuild a few systems for it to work (which qpm already had)) but lmk if that will be an issue

It's ok to have it on qpm. Most of us use mods and Qpm and Arie can run together

For me it's easier to match the detachable part of the crop so for sunflowers and all the flowers I won't really focus on reproducing parts that are not harvestable

Even if the background is not transparent but uniform and it fits well, get the image

It takes time to cut them but I can do it
