So right now the only reward to completing the journal is satisfaction
But what if when you complete a specific plants entry to 100% you could purchase a decoration version of it?
The decoration version would look like the plant itself, it would be unaffected by weather or growth mutations and obviously cannot be sold.
You can make them more costly. Even the same cost of selling the plant + purchase price of the seed itself if you really want. To give people with money stuff to spend it on.
Make the options
- Min OR Max size
- Weather Mutation option
- Lit/Bound option
Since you already have the images for it, it doesn't really add much art needed. Players could then select the plants that a lot of effort were placed into making but look better as the base option in their garden without overcrowding. I love some plants but max size of them just is too overwhelming. And if you don't have a mutated version your pets work on them.
This gives a reward for journal completion, gives stuff for end game players to mess around and decorate with that isn't all max size rainbow with a million mutations, and it gives more options for the plants people love how they look but hate having to deal with the money aspect of not being a good option.
So many people want Camellia's or Crysathemums but find them overwhelming to have all the mutations and colour on them. It just doesn't look as good and limits some decoration potential while also taking away from your devs who are doing amazing art for a plant that only exists long enough to complete a journal and then get destroyed because it takes space/makes it harder to rainbow things/isn't worth the time to make it look how they want/grows too big for how they want the aesthetic.
