#can't pick up golden plants

I haven't played the game since forever and now I can't pick up golden plants
every other work perfecly but the golden ones aren't cooporating
any guesses why taht might happen?

There have been some changes on how to harvest gold/rainbow crops:

Harvesting Gold and Rainbow crops now requires press-and-hold.

Have you been trying this way?
