#Okay... what's the deal with room sizes not being accurate?

Sometimes I'll see rooms that have 6+ other people... and then I join and the Friend Boost is at 20% or 30%

And alternatively... I'll see rooms showing only 4 or 5 people... 'The Room is Full'

It's extremely frustrating sometimes.

if people are away they get removed from the game but stay in the voice/room and people join with room codes via web browser to take slots just gotta keep trying

...

That doesn't make it right.

It's a problem.

can’t argue for the former, but in regards to this:

And alternatively... I'll see rooms showing only 4 or 5 people... 'The Room is Full'

like liam aforementioned, ppl join with room codes via browser and there would be no way to tell just by looking at a discord voice play channel that the room is full, bc they’re not actually in the discord call. unfortunately, you just have to keep trying or wait a bit until a spot frees up.

But I'm not always in Discord voice calls either. So that logic doesn't track.

Why wouldn't the game room itself say how many people are in the room before trying to join?

EVEN if using the website/app versions, shouldn't the game also have the ability to detect when the games are full.

Alternatively, is there a way for a bot to be implemented that can help specify how many people are ACTUALLY in a room?

well.. i’m just going by the logic of you saying that you’ll actually see a room with 4-5 ppl in it, so i’m assuming you’re referring to when you look at one of the play calls and you’re seeing how many ppl are in the activity no ? unless i’m misunderstanding something here. either way, if that’s the case, i’m simply explaining why the room may sometimes be full even when it shows that it’s not. i also find the things you’ve mentioned mildly vexing but i can’t rlly answer those questions for you. at the moment, all you can rlly do is keep trying until you’re able to find an open room.

this is def something that’s been brought up quite a bit so hopefully a resolution can be found soon. i understand your frustration

this is unfortunately an issue on Discord's end. their system was never designed with an expectation of how many people would be using activities in a single server. Magic Garden has the most people playing a single activity in a single discord server across the entirety of discord

#

in other words, the number of people in the game when you actually join it is correct. discord is simply showing an outdated count of the number of people

Can also search room names too, as long as 1 person is using mgtools inside a room, you’ll see the real time number of players.
