pet rainbow bug

when i have a plant growing lets say a lemon tree before its mature it can still use the abillity on that but it wastes it because there isnt even any fruits on the tree and when its mature the rainbow lemon that it said that it turned into a rainbow is not there. pls fix🙏

rainbow pets should not target immature plants. i will investigate to confirm if this is somehow not the case

my rainbows targeted a freshly planted starweaver earlier, would that count as an immature plant @broken mantle ? then didn't show as rainbow until it had changed from starweaver plant -> starweaver fruit

that would suggest it IS targeting immature plants, but the rainbow effect isn’t being “lost”

i could see it as rainbow if i checked the tile myself via console but it wouldn't show in game until it had 'matured'

Or you can water it and see the color of it too if it’s immature. Rainbow hitting I matured crops is normal, but none of the crops actually being rainbow once it is matured is odd.

REALLY?? Because my rainbow pets VERY OFTEN do so!! I particularly remember it because I once planted 1 coconut and 1 apple trees down, and my 2 rainbow pets definitely granted rainbow to 1 coconut and 1 apple, hours before the trees actually mature!

I always thought it was its function, to grant rainbow to anything, didn’t know it was a bug… 🤨

I’m not complaining though because the fruits did show up as rainbow later! 🤣
