Yes I have the lastest version
download and run jarfix (https://johann.loefflmann.net/en/software/jarfix/index.html) and try running it again
Jarfix fixes the jar file association on Windows
windows right?
Yep
open up command prompt
Yep
type “cd downloads”
Yep
then type “java - jar “ and then paste in the name of the forge installer
Oka
so like “java -jar forge-1.8.9-11.5.2318” or whatever it’s called i don’t know
can you type java -version in command prompt and send the response
try with java 8
How to change that
i forget how to do it in terminal, but i type in “environment variables” (or something along those lines) in windows search, edit the variable, find the path where my javas are, and put 8 above the others
i know that’s an inefficient way of doing it when having to constantly switch but it works so
Btw: It happend me like 1-2 months ago when I was installing forge and it fixed alone like after a day (same problem)
interesting
I will probably try to wait till tomorow and I will see if it is working ... please dont close the ticket if the problem dont fix
alright, feel free to ping me whenever if you want to know how to switch java versions
Thank you so much! Have a nice day/night whatever you have
