@tall viper (dallagenxyz) uploaded a log, https://mclo.gs/3lxrJu9
- OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM, version 1.8.0_372
- Forge 11.15.1.2318 on 1.8.9 using 2 mods
- OptiFine M6 pre2
Recommendations: - Most of the time you don't need more than 2GB RAM allocated (maybe 3-4GB if you use skyblock mods). You may be able to reduce the amount of RAM allocated from 6144m to 2048M or 3072M
log to me shows no obvious issues at all, i've tried allocating less ram and it just makes things worse
disabling skytils shows normal ram usage
ingame heap allocation goes from immediately being maxed out to like 1-2gb before garbage collecting
disabled all my jvm arguments and swapped to adoptium even in case it was a graalvm issue
really don't know why
6gb is not normal ram usage
i have other ram heavy stuff and it is in fact fairly normal in that case, performance is generally great
installing skytils at all doubling that is not normal
your heap going to 12gb is a greater concern
im having the same issues
To benchmark your game to find performance issues, download https://jitpack.io/com/github/romangraef/spark/spark-forge189/bde4ce2ff/spark-forge189-bde4ce2ff-mod.jar and put it in your mod folder
Use /sparkc profiler start --only-ticks-over 50 to start recording your games performance when the performance issues start to occur.
Now wait for your lag spikes / performance critical path to occur.
Use /sparkc profiler stop to upload the results.
Then send the link in this chat.
which is caused by
skytils for me!
6gb allocated is not a problem especially when i am using shenandoah which benefits heavily from more alloc
@tall viper
i cant run spark because by the time i can run a command
it is literally too frozen to open the chat
Even if you just use optifine patcher skytils and spark?
yes
Can you send a latestlog of that
