Walking and doing anything in the crystal hallows takes up more and more ram. Where after 40 minutes my laptop will freeze due to running out of memory. Here is a video of me just running around nucleus and the ram usage in my task manager just going up and up till i tp to forge at 90% total usage of my ram. https://youtu.be/7ziY2iS6anY
#Memory leak skytils version 1.9.8 and 1.10.0-pre9 crystal hallows

this is not my normal setup. Normally i have forge, optifine and patcher without curseforge. it still freezes with those
i just made it like this so it would be easier to show that it is skytils and not some other mod from my modsfolder
my normal mods folder
i did a spark then whent by progress of elimination and then at the end only skytils was the cause
Can you send that spark?
and i do have 4gb allocated
but it only shows 2 idk why
Can you also do /sparkc heapsummary
give me a moment
i could also do 1 spark without anything else in my modfolder if that is needed
Mc isn't aware that it's using that much RAM
how would i be able to fix that?
Can try #How To Install message

Biggest difference between us and I'm not getting crazy ram in task manager
That looks like the oracle version no clue how good or bad that is
its the one that is recommend from my school
worked with it for 6 years so far no problems
due the a newish laptop, i had installed rider and with that java version. but i never installed java itself
i dont understand how i got forge working without it
but ig i did
still doing the same thing
for refrence the only thing im doing is running around the nucleus
32 bit?
oracle doesnt have different versions. but im trying it azul right now
and it is still going up
not as fast, but it is still goin up :/
still going up when running around tho
im just going to reinstall minecraft and see if that does anything
after reinstalling everything i could think of, it was finally fixed
it was fixed, till the next day. i also have the same problem on a different pc
but said pc has way more ram so it is not as noticable and doesnt case a freeze as fast
i also got this problem
and for some reason the new version of skytils crashing my game
before it even open
uhh i think your gc just doesn't run as often
since it clears on world swap
is there anything i could do about that?
pretty sure its only considered a memory leak if it doesn't get garbage collected
you can have a lower interval but g1gc will pause your game usually
you can use a concurrent garbage collector like shenandoah which won't pause your game
ok ur using parallel gc
how would i be able to switch to a different garbage collector?
i heard about them, but never really used them.
it's with jvm arguments
