.minecraft/config, opening thepatcher.tomlfile and changingentity_culling = truetoentity_culling = false.
** This is caused by a new AMD driver update that appears to be a complete rewrite of the driver. If you suffer a large performance hit after disabling entity culling, you can try downgrading your GPU driver instead** - Don't extract OptiFine, just put the raw file in your mods folder.

- Unless you know what you're doing, modifying your JVM args could have unintended side effects. It's best to use the defaults.
