#Minor buffering and can't load M3U URL into IPTV app

I've increased the bitrate and buffer in the ffmpeg settings and I think it's solved my buffering issues, but I still can't play the M3U URL/File outside of my mini pc running PLex/Ersatz on any other device it errors and won't play.

you need to use the ip address, not localhost. if you have a second computer, try loading the website there

I've managed to do it now thanks, however going back to my buffering issue too, it's still there more so on some channels than others some channels load up and buffer every few seconds and some minimally buffer at all or seem fine. ALso every channel takes around 30 seconds to load too which seems long, I can't figure out why this is so varied or how to solve this

your options are to use a client that supports hls direct (like tivimate on android), or to use transcoding which nearly always requires a gpu to work well

#

in the latest etv release, you can probably get away with turning off color normalization in the ffmpeg profile to remove some of the work that it has to do, but that's about it

I've used several sources for playing the channels VLC, SparklePlayer (which I've used on my smart tv's for a long time with no issues) and tried VLC on several computers and devices and they all have the same buffering/loading times, so is turning off color normalization about all I can do? I do have a GPU on my mini PC but unsure how good it is, and what settings I would need for it.

I usually use Plex itself with direct play, so thought I would be able to do the same here?

That is not an option. Plex doesn't support third party IPTV streams, and transcoding is required to simulate an hdhomerun tuner

I don't mean watching it via plex

#

The content on the channels I've made is from my plex, what I mean is if I watch stuff on my plex regularly, I watch it via direct play and I thought I could direct play my plex media via Ersatz to the channels is that not possible? Cause I see HLS direct in the options but I can't get it to work it asks me to change some FFMPEG settings and such which I can't figure out or locate.
