Hey folks,

Trying to figure out if anyone else has this issue and/or how to sort it out.

So I have a few channels set up. I can pick any of the channels and it will start streaming. After an undetermined amount of time (it’s random), the stream freezes and I see the error in the screenshot.

I’ve tried changing quality from original to other options, no dice. This is on a LAN, and WiFi signal is strong and has no issues on the iPad otherwise.

I’ve checked the logs on ersatz and plex and don’t see anything super notable when this occurs. On plex there’s an informational entry around the time it occurs, but no warnings or anything that clearly tell me what the cause of this is.

In testing, this isn’t happening on an Apple TV that’s hard wired (haven’t tried it on one over WiFi).

Basically trying to figure out how to rule out things and get to the root cause.

Anyone have any suggestions?

are you using local libraries in etv or plex libraries?

Cursory searches see people complaining about this in plex forums since early last year, so it seems like a plex bug.

I have tested with jellyfin on iPadOS since swiftfin on Apple TV doesn’t appear to support live tv and jellyfin seems way more stable
