24/7 Playback?

Hello,

I have an instance of ErsatzTV running in a docker container on a TrueNAS server. One channel, one playout. My intention with this is to have a 24/7 channel which I livestream to a Discord VC. I am playing it through VLC.

My issue is that the playback only works for between one to two days before it just stops. I then have to click "Play" in VLC to get it to restart. Is there a better way to acheive the end goal of streaming a channel to Discord? If not, is there a more reliable way to play a channel?

I apologize if this has been asked before. I searched for answers for a bit but didn't find anything that looked relevant to my setup.

only works for between one to two days believe it or not, this is considered very reliable for projects like this. it is not my goal to achieve perfection. i'll let others chime in if they have similar setups or suggestions

Understood. I do realize this is a bit outside the normal use case, so if that's the best answer then I'm fine with that. I can just try and remember to restart the playback every night
