Hi all I'm just setting this up for the first time.. but Docker is confusing the heck out of me. Anyone able to help me on what I do with this please??

Docker is an unnecessary complication. Cut it out and just learn how to use the software directly installed on your OS before screwing with Docker.

there are tradeoffs with everything. sometimes docker is easier as it provides ffmpeg that is pre configured for hardware acceleration, depending on which gpu you have. also happy to help with docker setup
