#ErsatzTV Only Detects TV Shows on Jellyfin

Did you try "Refresh Libraries"?
I have, multiple times. Every time I refresh it and go back in to edit the libraries it still only gives me the option of TV Shows. I've tried shutting ErsatzTV down and relaunching it and still no change.
I've also tried removing my account, revoking the API and re-syncing to no avail.
what's the library kind in jellyfin? what does it show under the name in dashboard > libraries?
So on Jellyfin, it considers my Movie library as "Other" which I'd honestly never even noticed before.
also from https://ersatztv.org/docs/user-guide/add-media-items/ -
ErsatzTV supports a subset of media kinds when synchronizing from media servers, i.e. Plex, Jellyfin and Emby only support Movies and Shows. Local Libraries support all media kinds: Movies, Shows, Music Videos, Other Videos and Songs.
yeah that's the reason
Is there any way to change that?
Currently my Movie library is built off of 2 movie folders that follow the Movies > Movie (Year) > Movie.mp4 folder structure.
within jellyfin? i don't think so https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin/issues/10570
I currently run the server off 2 22TB hdd with a movie folder on each due to size constraints
Any idea what causes it to view it as "other" instead of movies?
I currently have somewhere in the realm of 12,000 movies, so it's limited on how I can store the
i dont use jellyfin extensively, but i assume it was created that way. there was a thread that said 'other' is the same as 'mixed' if that means anything to you
if etv could access the same files you could add them as a local library in etv just fine, it looks like it matches the naming requirements
My only concern was metadata honestly. Plus a not small amount of the movies are obscure enough that I had to manually find them and point jellyfin in the right direction or generate it all myself.
I imagine there's someway to have Jellyfin export nfo files for everything.
I'm just not sure why it would treat it as a mixed media folder when it's all exclusively video file format
Well I'll be damned. I just created a new "Movie" library in Jellyfin with the same source folders as my current one, made sure that it was set to the "Movies" content type and not only did it populate immediately, it looks like it kept all the metadata since it's already stored locally for the same files in another library. Refreshed on ErsatzTV and it found it right away.
Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it.
