This happens when I watch a channel after about 2-3 episodes. The issue fix itself if I leave and come back but after a few episodes issue returns.

This happens to me sometimes (although not nearly as often as every 2-3 episodes) and I haven't been able to pin down the cause

I just change the channel and wait for the ffmpeg session to die

I had the similar issue with music videos. I turned on Normalize Audio and that seems to have fixed the issue for me.
