Jason,

Since the last couple of Windows updates, I can't get the ETV Web-UI to launch. I get an "unable to connect" error. If I let it be and come back in a day or two it will open.
I notice that the ErsatzTV-Windows.exe process is running but there are no ETV services running, which I am guessing might be the problem.
Can you help? Thank you!

i would check the log files, there's a shortcut in the tray icon to open the logs folder

What should I be looking for? All I see are a whole bunch of skipping for zero duration entries.

i would exit using the tray icon, then start it up again, wait a few minutes and then post the today's log

Okay

So....Here is what I tried. I deleted the log from today after closing ETV from the tray. After reopening ETV, no log was made for today. Here is the log that I do have:

okay, try opening a command prompt, dragging ersatztv.exe (not ersatztv-windows.exe) onto that window, then hitting enter to run it

where do I find erstaztv.exe ?

#

It is not in the same folder as the windows.exe

ok, that's the problem

#

do you use develop builds or the latest release?

#

i have confirmed that ErsatzTV.exe is present in both (develop and release)

#

make sure you are unblocking the zip before extracting, maybe. could be an antivirus mucking with things

That was the problem. Thanks again!
