Why does Simpsons start at s3 and not s1. I thought a collection of chrono should be show a , show b , show c etc?

It does start at s1e1 but the later in the day you build the playout, the later it will be in the progression

Chrono uses release date of each episode, so if they are different years it may finish one show first

Sure, you could make separate schedule items for each series with playout mode multiple (2)

And set randomize schedule items on the schedule properties (same place you edit the schedule name) if you don't want shows to switch in the same order every time
