FAQ
When is the CTF?
<t:1772902800> to <t:1772989200>
Is there a team size limit?
No. Quals team sizes are unlimited. Finals teams can only have 4 players with no remote help.
How do I qualify for finals?
There are 2 divisions - US & Canada and Open. DiceCTF 2026 Finals will have 12 teams participating in total. 8 teams will be from the Open Division, whilst 4 teams will be from the US & Canada Division. For the avoidance of doubt, being from the US and Canada means that all team members participating in DiceCTF 2026 Quals and DiceCTF 2026 Finals are a resident (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or international student with a visa) of either the US or Canada.
To qualify for the US & Canada Division, your team must consist entirely of players from the US or Canada, as well as placing within the top 4 teams in this division.
To qualify for the Open Division, your team must place within the top 8 Open Division teams.
If a team who is eligible for the US & Canada Division places within the top 8 teams overall within the CTF, the place will go to the next open division team who have not already qualified (see example image).
There are no age restrictions on finalists who can attend. However, residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Crimea are unable to attend due to export controls and sanction programs. Additionally, sanctioned individuals are unable to attend DiceCTF 2026 Finals.
