#Do the External Editors settings not work currently? Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi all,

I'm running the 25.05 on Linux. Trying to set up the ability to use my Neovim setup instead of the internal Lua editor. However, the Scripts Editor setting under Edit > Editor Settings > Global Preferences > Files > External Editors does not seem to work. I don't get an error of any kind, it just always opens the internal Lua editor instead.

I can just open the Lua files directly in Neovim, which I'm generally fine doing. Just wondering if I'm missing something basic about trying to use this setting, and related settings. It will be much more cumbersome when it comes other asset types, like textures.

Any tips appreciated!

It would be worth submitting a git hub issue to make sure it's recorded as an issue.

Certainly, that's the next step. Just wanted to be sure it wasn't a known thing and I was just missing something. No issues or support forum posts for it yet. Don't want to pollute with garbage issues if it was just user error.

Thanks for sanity checking so I know it wasn't just my install. I'll submit an issue for it.
