O nice idea.
I'm @ Zac's property hypothesis tutorial - Finally learning how to hyp it up
Plan typing summit next
okay, I am waiting for CAM and will have lunch afterwards
@tender grove 💪
I’m flying in now (at airport). Will be there tomorrow morning! 😄 (have a 1 & 6 year old at home, and first time away for the 1 year old, so kept the trip to Fri,Sat,Sun). Typing summit would have been interesting. Are they recorded?
It doesn't seem to be
we are planning to have dinner together today, if anyone wants to join, let us know
Hope y'all are having fun. Looks like a pretty good sized turnout.
I'm at Henry's talk if anyone else is and wants to lunch after this
Plans?
Gather in front of the ballroom
im slightly jaleous, hope i can maybe make it in 1-2 years
Will y’all stay for the sprints? I can be there tomorrow (only afternoon) and Tuesday but I might go hiking instead if no-one needs me there 😛
I'll be there
Someone approached me yesterday from trio wanting to talk about the pip resolver and extras, did they found you? 🤔
Ah they posted https://discuss.python.org/t/provide-information-on-installed-extras-in-package-metadata/15385 😄 never mind then
From discussion at PyCon. Unicorn wants to provide optional features, for example WebSocket support. We do this via an extra, which specifies a minimum supported version of websockets. Unfortunately if users choose to install webscockets without installing our extra, they can install any version and the only way we can decide to enable our di...
Adrian’s from uvicorn and it’s not about the resolver though, so it could be a different person?
No it's that 😅 just miss remembered the project name
My initial thought was that pip could check if extra require some package at install time and warn if conflicts
But on second thought it's probably better to have a packaging helper
random resolver-related good news: I messaged Danny on Twitter and he said he'll return to get this rebased/addressed today or tomorrow https://github.com/pypa/pip/pull/10748
I was planning to stay but don't really have anything to work on and I don't know what to do about the JSON API pep ... it's just gone around and around in circles so I don't know what way to approach it ...
Especially since new fields have been added since we started talking about the 'needed' PEP ...
People have anything they want help with today/tomorrow?
hey all, I woke up feeling a bit sick today and didn't manage to make it to PyCon. I think it might have been something bad that I ate, plus dehydration, but I just heard from some people at Anaconda that they tested positive for COVID, so I will take a test as soon as I can. I would recommend everyone to be careful, and to take a test too if you can. Please stay safe 💔
I hope you recover soon! 🧡
thank you!
update: I took a test and it came back negative, I will take another one tomorrow, but I guess my body is just mad at me 😅 CAM dropped off some more acetaminophen and a bit of food and I am feeling much better now
Take care @cosmic wind!
Weather here def isn’t the easiest to deal with if you’re used to live close to sea level (like me)
It's low altitude here 😛 6200 where I live.
But yeah, altitude hits hard
Drink more water
so I took a test this morning and came back positive...
taking now the second anti-gen to see if was a false positive
Sorry to hear sir. Hope it's not to bad if you do have it.
So is there anyone else for the sprints or just me left 🥲
Just done my laundry and will be there soon
There is a few of us in 250C
Quite a few people here and I can’t recognise anyone with masks on lol
I just took a second test and it was negative
I'm off for a PCR test to resolve the tie
I think what might have caused me feeling sick was dehydration
^ for folks looking for the Packaging Summit notes.
Are talk videos up? If not, anyone know when they will be and where? Don't seem to be on YouTube yet
Within a week they said
Nice. Thanks.
The results are in and the tie got settled in the positive direction...
Hope for a speedy recovery mate
Likewise, hope it’s mild!
good recovery and hope you don't catch anything lasting
Are there any plans for attending other python events https://www.python.org/events/python-events/ & https://www.python.org/events/python-events/?page=2 ?
i will potentially be attending EuroPython, not sure yet
me potentially too
I've got a europython ticket
