If a shadow has a long ranged weapon like the fire rod or upcoming bow and arrow but no sword it should try to keep a distance and line up with the player instead of running at them. Think of the bow and arrow enemies from ALttP if that helps paint a picture of what I’m talking about. I think it would make shadows much more interesting and easier to use in dungeons since with a sword they are very dangerous but without they are near helpless.

Alternatively a dedicated enemy that does this would also be cool.

That’s basically what the last sentence is alluding to lol.

They don’t even have to be guards I just want something that has the same AI from the knights/monster knights in ALttP.
