#Cap on Attributes Gained from Consumables

I'm currently working on custom food items that permanently raise your attributes, and I feel like there should be an option to have a cap on how many more attributes can be raised from eating duplicate items.

For example, right now if you eat an item that boosts your movement speed by +25%, then eat the same item again, it adds another +25% movement speed, which can be increased seemingly infinitely. I would like to set a cap in the file to not increase past +50% if you eat a third item. If that makes any sense.

Also, I think there should also be an option to lose your buffs on death, at least in multiplayer.

This would be useful if you want to make powerups for a multiplayer dungeon and want to keep them balanced, a la the seeds in Four Swords on GBA. Right now the default system is more like Kirby's Air Ride City Trial.

ah i see. after experimenting, adding a duration does seem to make food buffs not stack with themselves, but can stack with different food items that give the same buffs. so if i want to have a powerup's buff upgrade, i have to make another food item entirely. hacky, but it works.

still, i can see some fun stuff being done in the absence of a cap for items with no duration. i made a test race track filled with nothing but speed buff items and watching my character accelerate to breakneck speeds
