Using a modded ring with MaxHealth = <=32:

  1. Start playtest in Maker Mode
  2. Take damage, works normally
  3. Pick up Heart Crystal
  4. Pick up ring box & ring
  5. Take damage
  6. Heart UI shows a white box as the "hurt" animation because previous current health was over the new maximum

Step 6 doesn't happen if you do something to update your current health, like pick up another heart/heart crystal

That is so cursed to have a value being like that lmao.
I'm truly sure the game hasn't properly implemented stuff like that.

the same also happens if you pick up the ring and then unequip it manually, max health UI doesn't update until something updates your current health

I initially had MaxHealth = 32 but that led to the same issue with UI not updating - it looks like game tried to take off the modded max health added, and left me with "0 health" and no hearts shown on the UI, even though it correctly reset the health to default value
