Can go on the same bit of wall as a door, but placed in the water under whatever layer grates are on. Can only be entered by diving under, and can also be barred like doors

#

Alternatively there could also be a door variant that is both door and tunnel, with an added piece to the settings tab which says whether the tunnel has a grate or not

what do you mean by on the wall, but placed in water?

knotty galleon
#

It’s a door type

#

That’s at water level and comes with its own water

#

Can’t be entered unless submerged

#

And it goes under grating, so theoretically the player goes on top of some grating in a closed area to reach a door and then later uses the flippers to go under the grating and make their way to the water tunnel

i dont see what you mean

#

could you not just

#

put a door under water?

low rover
#

no I think I get it

#

it's like a water tile that goes into the wall a bit, and you have to be diving to get in

#

it's hard to picture with how the game treats floor tiles and walls but I think it makes sense. could use an illustration to help

knotty galleon
#

Alrighty then

hybrid epoch
#

ok..

#

couldnt you just

#

put a second door under the first one?

knotty galleon
#

There isn’t a second floor

#

It’s just water tiles

hybrid epoch
#

ahhhh

#

ok i think i get it

#

so basically you want underwater doors for water tiles?

knotty galleon
#

Yea

#

This prolly isn’t the best way to depict it in game, but it was the best way to show what I mean

hybrid epoch
#

i doubt it but it would be kinda nice

#

just cause of how the grid system works

knotty galleon
#

Yea

I was thinking of it basically looking like there's another tile in the wall, but it just works the same as a door that's swimmable

#

so it would go in a bit
