This is actually the second dungeon I've made so far.

For this one, I was aiming for something along the line of a Pyramid of Duality kind of theme.

Going up adheres to a (kind of loose) pyramid-shaped layout based on cleansing and (to a degree) serenity, getting lighter and cleaner while ascending, but the means of keeping it that way are far from safe. Everything below ground level, however, leans in the opposite direction. Much less well-kept, notably more sand and rooms flooded with poison. In either case, the path winds much like the coils of a snake. (Which works out, since Tezcacoatl is a name of Aztec origin meaning "Serpent King".)

The flow of progression should be relatively straightforward with minimal backtracking.

Admittedly, I did go a bit wild on one of the lower floors, but then again, letting loose with the room design on that particular floor was pretty much intended. Nevertheless, I did try to keep the puzzle segments fairly simple while combat, on the other hand, can get a little more hectic in certain places.

In any case, I had fun putting this one together, albeit at the cost of a good deal of sleep. (I had been at it for a good 20-something hours or so.) I hope those of you who do decide to try this one out have a blast getting through it! 😉

Was wondering what happened.

Alright, finally got a chance to play this.

#

Overall, I'd say this dungeon works pretty well as a higher difficulty dungeon.

#

The upgrades were gained at a good pace and utilized well, and the fights were fairly good all things considered.

#

I will say that certain puzzles had a "frustration into pay-off" feelings to them.

#

I had no idea Roll-Jumping was a thing before today, lol.

In the end, this dungeons earns a ❤️ from me
