Literally anything in the game, whether its enemies, weapons, passives etc should have types like Shot, or Targeted in the description highlighted with a colour or bolded. It really helps with consistency, as something like Shot could be easily misread as any projectiles instead of the weapon type.
This could also be added to things like the Candy explosion, anything that effects that could be highlighted as "Makes Candy explosions deal 100 more damage"
Just look at these examples:
"Weapons with random targeting gain additional projectiles"
"Random weapons gain x2 base projectiles"
or
"Jumps and deals 5 AoE damage"
"Jumps and deals 5 AoE damage"
It just looks cleaner, and more importantly brings clarity.
Coinciding with this, the terminology in the game needs to be standardised. I can't give every example but terms need to be very clear. A good example is making sure those highlighted terms are in (mostly) every description to indicate what is being effected.
A bad example is the AoE slime. "Explosions are more powerful", nothing in the game is marked as Explosion, which would make sense with the unlock requirement, however even this is incorrect.
It is so important to a game like this that synergies can be easily read and understood what works.
If its helpful I can go through the game and list all the examples I can find of non obvious terminology in descriptions.
