RBR scoring - i feel there are a few things that should detemine the over all score of you match, and currently it feels very inconsistent.

Placement
Deaths (by player, by bots, by self-termination)
Kills (Bots, players)
Special Kills (dunked, kill with ball, kill with bomb bot...beyond the grave)
Kill Combos (double kill, triple, quad ...)
Assits - should give parital points
**camping mesaures **- (point deduction of no movement within 10s, and remaining in same spot for more then 30s)
afk measures - (kicked if no movement within 10-15s)

placement should be top means of scoring the game is royale it about elimination, so the close you get to being the last person alive shoulve mean you get more points

the devs have said they cant count or record beyond the grave kills

and bot kills would be giving you far too many trophies, or if you died to a bot you'd lose too many

it was actually giving you 0.5 per trophy a little while ago, they fixed that.

the beyond the grace thing isnt a easy fixe but currently the moment you die the game takes your results and updates your currenlt tropy count. when you get to main menu that is just animation being told to play but your trpoies were already updated the moment you died

idk what limiations godot has, but all that would need to be done is trick it by telling the game you still alive and on your screen you in spectator mode once you leave it offically die

I used to think that beyond the grave should result in getting some trophies, but now I think nah it would just result in more suicide flak players

that depends on how many pts one get from beyond the grave

also having measures so it first count for first 30s

because you will get more people not caring about dying and just griefing game spamming rapids into them hoping some hit, and so if you die its worth it

it has nothing to do with the engine

we don't record beyond the grave kills because it would introduce fragility in our code that risks duplication of rewards

we keep it simple by recording your stats + rewards just once, the moment you die

So here is the deal with scoring:

#

Using rank / leagues as a primary means of scoring creates a huge imbalance bc all you have to do it kill 1-2 high rank players and die you get rewarded decent chunk of trophies for 45s of gameplay. The goal is to stop ppl from taking pts and bailing.

When using a battle royals system, it’s elimination based, so for balanced scoring it make sense for it to be based of “time Survived”, “placement” and “kills” with everything else being either bonus pts or Deductions

Prom got 11 kills and first only got 22 pts,
Ive gotten 3 kills then died and got 45 pts

That shouldn’t be possible

11 kills is not easy to achieve

Except prom is using auto clickers so

Aside from that point , getting more kills should be a reward

Rank should just be a cosmetic for earning you way up the charts not a means to bring you down or up like chute and letters

All i have to do is kill to ppl bail and i get 22+ trophies

Then i repeat and im up the charts faster then not

In my opinion killing a higher rank player should be a bonus

And if you get killed by one it doesnt hurt you that much but still more then normal
