I haven't played the game in a while, but I would be a bit ticked off if I died because I couldn't shoot anyone.
Maybe a compromise could be making it so you can't shoot anyone when you are that tiny?
That way you can't get unfairly killed by someone tiny you can't shoot.
Like the invincible effect.
