I'm getting back into dead by daylight and I want to try modding but all the videos I saw on YouTube were very outdated and I'm not even sure if it's allowed anymore I want to try some simple stuff like reSkin Mods before switching over to private servers with friends is that is even possible? cuz I'm completely in the dark and I'm not sure where to ask I only found out about this place because of an outdated tutorial on mods dead by daylight by Kyto and TonyTheDuff

I would like to get pointed to the right direction

Currently the only way to mod and play modded dbd is on the Dev Build, version 3.0.0. The private server is ready to work, but not online yet. We don't know when it will be up again or if it will be up again, but we're all hoping.

So private server is down atm, you can launch it, but you'll only be able to play killer against bots, playing survivor is impossible at the moment
