I like using the last versions so I can use best practices right away. With xstate I'm a bit afraid though, because there is the typegen script, and the visual editor. Will they break if I upgrade to v5 alpha? Is it too early, or can I take a deep breath and upgrade the dependency?

I'm not sure about Typegen but the visual editor, at least, isn't fully ready yet for v5. Things such as higher order guards and "anything is a behavior" need to be supported by the editor which we don't yet as far as I know.
