I have a Celestron AVX SCT telescope. I am planning on getting an AM5. I would like to use the AM5 with my AVX tripod. However, I know that I have to get a pier to match the two. Does the pier make it less stable, especially for astrophotography?

The zwo pier comes with the adapter

I bought the pier (dont have a zwo mount) because it works with ioptron tripods
