#Telescope for beginners

I actually have models like a 130EQ in mind, but it feels like it might be insuficient for me.
what’s ur budget
500-700 dollar
already got a solid mount ?
just visual or also astrophotography?
visual
There's a lot of light pollution where I live
Unfortunately yes
I sold it
There is no official distributor in turkey and they are being sold at very high prices.
omegon...
if only visual then a dobsonian style scope will give you the best bang for your buck for sure
otherwise I would say a 6in+ newtonian on an appropriately sized mount. but buying a scope and a mount complicates things compared to just getting a dobsonian
What is the difference between a Dobsonian and the telescopes we generally know (celestron)
dobsonian just refers to the style of mount
it's just a Newtonian scope that sits on the ground on an alt-az mount
very good
it's not a brand. Celestron is a brand that makes telescopes
Oh sorry my bad
For practical, portable and planets I went with a Maksutov, the Celestron NexStar 127SLT, which is not too expensive at the used market
I second that, smallish Maks are probably the most portable scopes
I have the SVBony mk127 and it just about weighs 3 kg
for beginner maks can be troublesome unless it's paired with a very sturdy mount, oh and try to use low power eyepieces for most of your observing
Oh yeah Maks probably aren't for you unless you know exactly what you want
thanks
