#Should i buy Dobsonian 152/1200

im looking for a telescope so i can observe moon craters, doesnt need to be perfectly clean and also planets and deep sky objects, i was looking to buy 150p but i changed my mind to this one, also if someone has or had this one i want please send some pics 😄

It's a good scope to start astronomy, not only you'll have nice views of the moon but also of planets, and quite a lot of deep sky objects can be seen with it in dark enough locations.
If you can, consider buying ot second-handed, this way you can save off 20, 30% of the cost (and buy other stuff instead)

If you can choose freely between the 130p and 150p, take the 150p

I don't think the 150p offers much over the regular 152

It's only for the larger dobs that the weight savings begin to be significant

The truss version isn't worth getting for this size of dob

Just get a regular 150 dob

The truss version is actually slightly heavier than the regular version as well so it doesn't really make sense

Once you get beyond 200 mm the truss begins to make sense but at the standard beginner sizes it's not worth it
