#Should i buy Dobsonian 152/1200

It would probably be easier for people to respond if you shared a link to the telescope you're considering buying
It's a good scope to start astronomy, not only you'll have nice views of the moon but also of planets, and quite a lot of deep sky objects can be seen with it in dark enough locations.
If you can, consider buying ot second-handed, this way you can save off 20, 30% of the cost (and buy other stuff instead)
ye there is also 150p and 130p but idk really i like this one
btw i live in village far away from city light
Then you'll get a lot out of this scope
By 150p do you mean the Skywatcher truss Dobsonian?
If you can choose freely between the 130p and 150p, take the 150p
I don't think the 150p offers much over the regular 152
It's only for the larger dobs that the weight savings begin to be significant
Yes
The truss version isn't worth getting for this size of dob
Just get a regular 150 dob
Thanks
The truss version is actually slightly heavier than the regular version as well so it doesn't really make sense
Once you get beyond 200 mm the truss begins to make sense but at the standard beginner sizes it's not worth it
Thanks, im getting regular 150
Its a good scope for its price, and since you live in dark skies I don't think you'll struggle with transporting it
