Linear Fit + narrowband normalization in Pixinsight will get you roughly on track with the same color.

This data was a fun project shot when I was using my RC at the native focal length with my present imaging train. It comprises of about 66 hours of integration time including the RGB portion which I've not included here. It's easily over 60 hours in narrowband alone.

Focal length: 1628 mm
Pixel Size: 3.76

did u like drizzle it?

ohh

#

bro its not undersampled tho lol

#

its alrdy kinda oversampled i u were in some standard seeing place

clear valley
#

my M 16 project was sampled very well but 2x drizzling brought out even more detail than what was easily visible in the native data

#

I 2x drizzled it because BlurX likes 2x drizzled data more

#

but isnt drizzle only for like undersampled data?

clear valley
#

it likes oversampled data a lot too

clear valley
#

that's generally the way one should use drizzling

#

but there are sometimes benefits to drizzling even when it seems illogical

#

in general I 2x drizzled this project for fun

#

I was looking for a difference

hollow pendant
#

like what are the minimum frame counts that u consider drizzling?

clear valley
#

I think some of the dark features were slightly enhanced but that was about it.

#

I generally go along the lines of how much integration I have and normally won't do it until I am sure I have all of the data I am going to get on a particular target for the season

#

sometimes that's a little bit different for my RedCat 51 data but even then I will still refrain from drizzling until the project is near completion

#

I aim for a 20 hour integration total, minimum, for main projects like this one

#

I only went as hard as I did because the Sii refused to clean up.

#

I think I hit diminishing returns super early because 5 minute subs are relatively short for narrowband.

#

I am going to try to push this rig to 10 minute subs, and possibly bump up the gain, because I have 3 nm filters now

#

this Fish Head project was captured using the Svbony SV227 5nm SHO set, but they're more like 6.5 nm filters

#

the short subs + wide bandpass + bortle 8 makes my images extremely noisy, requiring much more integration time than I initially expect. Specifically if I want to push Oiii and Sii really hard.

My attempt at processing this data using Pixinsight and finishing in Adobe Lightroom.
