there's no way
is that a good price? it feels good to me.
i might have to pick it up honestly, i was up late last night reading forums comparing c5's to 4" apos
some people saying they can be had for the same price. certainly haven't found that to be the case so far
can u look at it in person?
see if there's scratches or anything on the primary mirror
who knows
that's genuinely an awesome price
there is another one for 350 but its bidding and also seems to have mold on the interior miniscus
oh...
well clearly not that one
yeah lol
if this one doesn't have any problems i would buy it if i were u
i think i will, gotta make sure i really want it first tho
i also like to test combinations of eyepieces and scopes on targets
using a website
oh u ain't usin a dslr a mirrorless or an astrophotography camera?
i mean sure i also have eyepieces but i lowk use my dslr more
it's too expensive 🥀
and yeah smart scopes are nice but i like looking through my telescopes a lot
ik it's fire
ion got a smart scope tho
yet
imma buy a seestar s50 prolly
yeah there are lots of them second hand
not where i live
imma buy it from the actual site
there are 0 second hand ones here
maybe soon there will be
good deal
however that price could get you a 6inch dob new, or maybe 8 inch dob used if ur lucky
aperture is kingfor visual, if yo want goto, its good
Id honestly only get a nexstar 8 at that price being completely honest.
i've had an 8" dob before. it's not for me
and i currently have a heritage 150p but i want something less barebones
i have an 8 inch dob too gng i love it tho
i think if the area between the back doors and the garden was easier to navigate i would have kept it
mine is the flex tube variant too so it's easier to carry when puttin it in a car or sum
this one
this one??
yeah i think it's really pretty
it is but lowk worse to use
not collapsing but still
even so i stand on my take of this one being easier to use
they are removable so you can transport it collapsed
that's nice
basically the same as the skywatcher but takes longer
nah cause the skywatcher makes it shorter
u can adjust those
yes and if you remove the truss tubes it becomes shorter
i am talking abt the meade
if u are going to buy it i highly suggest u getting a camera too
i mean ye cause u don't have any type of camera to take pics with it
and u wanna focus on visual
a dob works better cause it captures more light at once
but after u get a camera the celestron is going to be better
i think you can thug it out with the celestron till u get a camera
if it doesn't take too much time
yeah i also just kinda really want an sct lol
then go with the celestron
ill try to stick to it, no telling what i will be thinking tomorrow
u wanna do visual all the time tho?
cause u got a go to but it's lowk kinda useless when u use it for visual cause they're easy to spot anyway
i want to do a bit of both
then get the celestron and wait for a cam
i don't have trouble finding objects but it would be nice to track them over night
yeah true but the mount does have the eq wedge included
which
took a bit to find
i feel so stupid hold on
all the years I've known bout this scope
i did not know
it could do that
genuinely
like holy
it's bc it's not terribly great. more of a stop gap solution
i lowk might start lookin everywhere on the internet for that scope at that price u gettin it for ngl 🥹
cause holy
i did not know that
i feel like a ww2 veteran seeing an f-22 raptor for the first time
i imagine some of the more experienced imaging nerds here will tell us how many flaws it has but i think for a noob it will do
i looked on reddit people say it's not that good but it works
yeah that's what i heard
idek how i did not know bout this thing
hope it's still there tomorrow
gl gng
wait hold on
that thing
how do u even do polar alignment with it
ye u can't
guess
guess what
or line up tripod leg
mhm lol
it's bout hopes and dreams
it's more of a half feature
The meade Lightbridge Dobs are pretty good and they can be taken apart nicely.
I own the 12'' model, its still pretty heavy but most of that is in the bottom part of the OTA.
i decided not to get it thanks to a helpful chat
some of the features are nice and the scope has a charm
but it offers no significant upgrade
thanks for talking through it with me though
