After saving to replace nearly every component in my setup over the summer, I have finally managed to finish my first mono image. I decided to go for a good SHO target as I had always wanted to shoot/process one so I decided to go for the Bubble Nebula. I wanted to go for a similar look in the Hubble Space Telescope photo of this target and I'm overall happy with how it turned out. Especially since this was shot from my bortle 9 backyard and it was my first SHO process ever. However, I'm hoping my images and processing can improve given this new beginning for me in my astro journey.

19hrs total integration
Bortle 9

Stacked and processed in PixInsight with RC astro plugins (blurxt, noisext, starxt) and Lightroom.

Excellent image, everything must be perfectly dialled in! Id say got could squeeze a bit more out of the data….The brightest part of the bubble is very slightly clipped to my eye and I also think you have scope for some further selective sharpening….great job

Thank you! With the reducer cc it actually puts the scope at f/3.53!

You can make RGB'ish stars from sho/hoo stars
