My most recent and most successful attempt of the heart nebula, 37 hours of integration between Sii Oiii and Ha. Thanks to great seeing, I got to see small filaments in and out of the nebula. Out of all the features of the Heart Nebula, this one stands out the most. It’s relatively bright and has great structural detail. The amount of gasses and ionization going on makes it one of the best targets for narrowband astrophotography.

A personal detail, I first imaged the pillar in 2023 with my C6, and I didn’t get the best detail. It was muddy, and honestly hard to look at. I would have not believed I could get this much detail a few years ago.
