Coming along nicely @frank oasis
Thanks!
Very clean and sharp, even by my standards. Can't wait to see the final!
What kind of scope is this on? Looks like SCT stars to me.
It's indeed a SCT
Well BX did a lot of work in fact I think I'll tone it down, the details are all correct (compared to the hubble image) so that means the data is good but I still feel like it's a bit too much. More data is also gonna help.
What kind? would you like some OSC or IR ontop of that?
I'm doing a whirlpool project once the moon is out of my way
C8 with the Starizona correct so it's at f/7.
I captured some red and green data (was too late for blue), I'll finish capturing colours once the moon goes away and I'll also get some Ha.
Oh, nice. I'm on an 8HD at native F/R, yeah figured you'll probably be done with the data by the time I get started
I'm going for 8h of Lum, 3h of RGB and 5 on Ha. Still unsure on the correct ratios to use because this is my first time using a mono camera.
Try to keep the RGB component equivalent, Luminance and any narrowband enhancements can be infinite as long as you give them correct weight ratios to the individual channels.
I've seen plenty of people pour in 50+ hours lum to 10h each channel RGB.
It just depends on taste and needs
I'd love to do that but for now I can only image during weekends and I also have multiple projects going on at the same time.
I'm already pretty happy with the luminance gathered in 2 hours, I'm going for 8 just cause, theoretically at least, that should double the snr.
