Whirpool Galaxy M51 with 24h of integration, using the Seestar S50 from my Bortle 3/4 Backyard.
I have run my 25h of 10s subs from last Spring through the Subframe Selector tool in Pixinsight. Filtering on FWHM, Eccentricity, Star count, Median value, and SNR, I have cleaned a lot of bad subs out. I then gathered around 8h of 20s subs last night in decent conditions, of which 6h survived the same SFS inspection.
The final stack ended at 24h, 6500x10s and 1100x20s, all taken in alt-az mode.
This was my first process of the new stack, and I decided to share it, even tho I often take a few processing runs before I am happy with the end result. In this case the color could be a bit more adjusted, the black point perhaps, etc,... But the galaxy season is long, so I will have time to gather more data and perfect the image. At the end of the day, I am happy for what I got out of a cheap smart scope, not even considered a proper astro rig.
