Friction is your friend sometimes. Actually it's what keeps a lot of things in place so that we can do stuff. Even on a mount you still need just enough friction so that yes, you are moving, and no, the OTA isn't just mindlessly twirling about spinning 360's

I have a collimation cap so I use that. I'd never recommend a laser collimator; you have to collimate them and they still don't collimate right. Camera is an option as well if you have one that can be used for collimation.

Neither, get an rc, bc cool :3 (has a longer focal length, you can get a reducer to go from f8 or f7 to a faster f-stop, and it also produces sharp images :D, i belive its also good for visual but is a pain to collimate, so it isnt a good beginner scope.)
