That's sad
I probably won't see it for a few more years
depends what mount
i saw a video of one celestron mount making the most horrendous noise ever
but most things from celestron suck (besides the SCTs and stuff)
Uses celestron mount
Sees that it sucks
Turns it off and uses it for untracked AP
profit
I'd rather set up my tripod on a moving truck on a bumpy road than use a celestron mount
????
why would you ever choose untracked ap over a bad mount
something is better than nothing
depends what bad means
I'd rather have a really light tripod to carry anywhere I want than have to lug around a big heavy mount for just a couple more seconds of exposure time
i doubt they're actually that bad to the point it only gives a few seconds
I think deserts have too much temp change during the night
so you need to refocus quite alot
eaf
if you're doing visual or you're out there with your scope the best biome is what you're comfortable in
but for your scope imo it's the desert
move down 2 bortles and get perfect weather, deal
exactly
Would you rather

Cassegrain Mirror Push Pull Focuser.
ok
I got a crayford and i hate it
Why do you hate it?
Helicals arent bad
No friction is worse. Have you ever tried keeping focus with a good load on a focuser and the focuser just keeps losing focus or slams back down to the base?
I just tightened up a screw to increase the friction and the problem stopped.
Friction is your friend sometimes. Actually it's what keeps a lot of things in place so that we can do stuff. Even on a mount you still need just enough friction so that yes, you are moving, and no, the OTA isn't just mindlessly twirling about spinning 360's
Helical focuser sucks for AP, but for a budget dob for visual it’s good enough
Yup, I have a very lovely time with it for visual, but for AP it's painful
Do OTAs even come with helical focusers anymore? I got an el-cheapo from Amazon and it has crayford.
Stinkin cheap plastic how in the world does it even perform, but it's crayford

A friggin newtonian!
I was specifically thinking of AP, should have mentioned that.
Are there any imaging newts for $600?
There surely are
Oh really
Yes
I never looked into them since my mount would die
What mount you got?
SA Gti
Wonder if anyone’s tried that lol
i am an f2 enjoyer
Why not 2 meter f/1 telescope?
My newt cost 399 and I use it to image
Eqm 35
dont you have a 150mm f/4?
arent those like 500+
Yes that's what I have. But it didn't cost that much lol
where did you get it from?
It's a GSO 6" F4. Agena astro. It's literally 399 lol
At least here
My bad i was thinking of the 200mm price
What would you rather have? (< $600)

spring if it's good weather but summer since more clear nights
I like summer, but I dont live in a warm climate
which is another reason why summer is good
some of my friends get 40c+ every day in summer
gah
im not in C so im normally around 70-85f
Summer because of the targets
So many dark nebulae and nebulae
Also Milky Way and Cygnus especially
And I have actually made this poll before lol
they said not including targets
Ohh mb I just woke up
Ofcourse Winter lol

I love winter, but the clouds are horrible this time of the year, at least in the US.
Ye not for me
Normal for me lol
Sometimes I get 50c
Light work no reaction
Still open for 10 days
ok.
there is no logical reason to make a poll that lasts that long
also no logical reason to remind people of it
it's annoying

unguided 180s with a 10in newt payload is exceptional

Winter - Clouds completely eradicated, There isn't 35 tons of thermal noise in every image, no annoying bugs... what more could you ask for?
in what world are you living in that clouds go away during winter???
where I live there's more clouds during winter
there's still clouds, but compared to summer it feels like it has been clear for 4-5 months straight
In fact, a few days ago I had my first rainy day since November last year lmfao
here's the climate chart for my city, percipitation can be seen at the bottom
@stuck lily and @inner pine can I see your crappy mount?
not rn
Whats the best season for Astro (not including targets)

What telescope focuser do you have?

AVX crappy/below average
My current one is an azeq5 and it's definitely above average. I'm getting an eq6 tho so that's even better. Just 2kg extra payload but the belt drive is gonna basically eliminate backlash so...
sounded better than "astrocam" sorry
it's ok lol I do in fact use a zwo cam and allsky lens XD
wait I have a touptek guide cam.. Can't I collimate with that?
if you have an allsky lens then you should be able to yeah
I dont
I have a collimation cap so I use that. I'd never recommend a laser collimator; you have to collimate them and they still don't collimate right. Camera is an option as well if you have one that can be used for collimation.
I have a shi laser, so I switched to a cheshire but im still not very happy.
would this already work?
Sometimes I see them having a reflective surface
That's what came with Rio and that's what I used to collimate her and my other newt (so far not officially named)
i wonder which is better
ah just saw it too
lol
Shall I get a cap then?
I do and recently while setting up I bumped into the back of it and the primary got out of alignment. I used my cheshire eye piece to re collimate but after doing a star test I saw that my primary was still not looking good.
I mean theyre really cheap so might as well
Now instead of relying on smth that needs to be calibrated as well, like a laser or the cheshire, I'd rather have a cap.
Indeed.
its just plastic with a hole
Although I have to say that an f/4 newt can be pretty picky
Yea you need way more precise collimation than my f5 for visual
I need to get the right backfocus first. I need a shorter adapter which costs 40€... For a adapter...
You ... haven't seen me in action, have you.
glad i bought a petzvel and dont need to worry about back focus 🙏
Like these are the stars from my center compared to the edge. Clearly a backfocus issue.
What did you do
Nothing specifically in this. I have broken stuff that was supposed to have been unbreakable.
... more than once.
like what
Who hasn't xD
Small, leaded glass cruets.
Thick bar tumblers.
My shoulder blade ... without breaking everything around it. Even the doctor was impressed.
oh...
Oh. Restaurant quality dishes, I'm adding that to the list.
I broke my fathers credit card today. Made him log in and use it on a phishing link
I do hope that's a joke. Some people, especially those who work against fraud/theft, may not like hearing things like that though.
🙂
This isn't a joke. We were both not aware it was a phishing link.
Like I didnt do it on purpose dw but still
I'll just toss my "It's always a scam" line out then. 🤷
Gonna keep that as my mindset
But honestly don't feel bad. Smart people have been taken in, and it's a lucky strike if the smart person gets taken in on a test and not reality.
Good news is, you close that credit card and get it replaced w/ new number, the scammers have squat
I was selling stuff on a second hand clothing app and someone asked for my email (for some reason my dumbass didnt think any of it because I was using the app for the first time) and I got a transaction link through my email that was disguised as the official app email and website etc. They made you lock in with your online banking acc and then you'd select a payment method. Now my fathers credit card is locked for safety and my online banking account is fully locked by my bank and I'll have wo wait a few days till I get a letter telling me how I should go from there. Things happen but I still blame myself for not realizing it was a scam.
Oh wow. That is a near classic move, and real easy for even a professional to get taken in if they're not on point.
you’re a fool if you vote yes
If they are just joking around I don't get offended, if they mean it seriously but they are friends and they are just being honest I don't mind. If they're just being pricks I genuinely couldn't care less. So final answer is no
Depends on context.

In one year I'll get 385,360 dollars
Presuming $0.01/s continues indefinitely
did you not do the math for this one birds adorb
he forgor 💀
even if it's a 1 million 1 time payment im still taking the cent
in 4 years it's more
Finance bros on TikTok would take the $1000 one time
well yeah its a long term investment, you can put that 1000 into stocks
over a few years if your lucky it might triple in value
wait one day and you have almost as much
Facts
864 dollars
I make $0.003 per second and I would earn $1000 in a normal week.
That’s normal working hours too
As opposed to abnormal
Not 1 cent per second for every hour of every day.
Yeah it’s closer to $1300 if I do some overtime
I'm not sure if it's lucky or unlucky that you get to do overtime. On the one hand, more $. On the other hand, well, it's work.
Even if you enjoy what you do
Depends what it is. Most of the time it’s just driving back from site.
I would've titled this poll like:
"Would you rather... (no catches, the IRS can't tax you)
And I would've made the second option more money, maybe a million dollars
Where is this magical land that you live and get paid for your commute to/from work?
I work for a contractor company at a minesite. It’s a 2 hour drive from the workshop to the mine. I get paid for that.
Workshop to home I don’t get paid for
I make 0.3 cents a minute 😦 but I get that from parents 💀
Ah. Still, getting paid while traveling is good.
I get guaranteed 30 great British quids per week
i dont think you did the math right
As opposed to the standard British quid or the lesser British quid?
One of them 💀
😂
30/7(day)

he still did the math wrong tho

Clouds
Winter has clearer skies
Yes, and then some.
not for m,e
Temperatures under 0 C makes it incredibly difficult for clouds to form
So they’ll have to come from somewhere else
yes and they never stop coming from somewhere else
i get way way more clear nights in the summer
Oh, no worries, it's fine.
Summer does...
as a person who couldnt get a single photo in summer, i beg to differ my friend
your weather is not normal
the colder it is the clearer it is
thats normal
clouds struggle the colder it is with good air quality
your weather is just weird
i get clear skies for days at a time in summer
maybe 5 times a month at most in winter
and only 2 a month i can use
Real
But unfortunately summer has less dark hours
I always thought that winter had more cloudy days but better seeing. Summer has more clear days but worse seeing
Seeing is a pretty complicated phenomena, for me it can easily change from hour to hour
What do you discibe your telescope mount as?

exoplanets?
Modified interferometry
i dont flipping know man
I don't detect exoplanets in the first place 😭
No disk kinametics?
What is that?
Astronomy & Astrophysics (A&A) is an international journal which publishes papers on all aspects of astronomy and astrophysics
i don't but if i did, transit
This is some heavy nerd shit
I didn’t even think it was possible to detect exoplanets as amateurs
its the reverse for me
so you just assume everybody has access to extremely expensive equipment to do some of the stuff on the list?
the question should probably be have you ever detected an exoplanet
I have seen an exo planet without knowing.
what?
In the Orion nebula
you are not seeing the exoplanet itself, you are either seeing the protoplanetary disk or a bubble around a newly formed system
might give this a shoot, with 3x drizzle i will match the detail
pro tip: dont use blurx or else it will turn it into a star :)
The redcat is NOT under 500$
Yea it rarely goes for $500 used
The object that i am looking at is at the center of the main Orion nebula. Proplyd 133-353
The first one won, It did not make it off the ground
nope
It is a hot gas giant and pure speculation on what the planet looks like. https://exoplanet.eu/catalog/proplyd_133_353--4078/

Future pro rig right here
I really want to try detecting some exoplanets, what’s the most effective or easy way of doing it?, I’m guessing transit.
Transit indeed
Yeah i don't think you can really do anything more complex, not without better equipment at least
It'd be cool to try transits tho, definitely in my list
Same

Amazing deal
Snatch it
Just make sure it’s in fine condition
Used like new for $475? kinda sus ngl
I once saw one go for $300 on cloudy nights lol. Probably a scam but it sold so idk

I can afford the c6 now but I’d need to save up for the c8 for a while longer.
I’m intending to use these scopes for planets and galaxies.
They seem to be about the same in price, is there a specific one you’d recommend?
When buying SCTs you should really buy used
I got my C8-XLT for 900€ with a lot of accessories. If you can't get a good deal on them they are a bit overpriced

No.
❌
option 1 does not fix the issue
now instead of city lights you have extremely bright aurora
which are cool but like you still cant do deep sky imaging
Which scope should I get?

3
Other (if you know another scope thats similar)
It will knock out the grid for years
We must revolt against light pollution!
that's a lot worse than light pollution
yes
it will literally kill most of humans lol
mentally and phhysically
I'd do 70% of the imaging time on Lum and the rest on colors
Ha
It’s not a ha target
there’s gotta be a o3 arc in there then
So Lum or LRGB?
what target is it first off
Bernes 142, Dark Nebulae with Reflection Nebula in the middle
Not super faint but so far its still too noisy for my likings
what’s your sky quality like?
Bortle 5-6
i would shoot some more lum icl
buying a narrowband filter that brought a cyclone to australia
What biome is ideal for telescopes and astrophotography?

Oag
Optical finder is the best by far
For visual yeah
Also an optical finder IS a small telescope so the last option doesn't make a lot of sense imo
I use it for alignment, not guiding.
that is ridiculous
I'm saying the 7d poll is ridiculous
Lol
although that finderscope is interesting
f/6 to make a planetary beast
But I want it for visual 😔
iirc f/ratio doesn't change the view brightness for visual right?
It's still better tho, I don't really understand it fully but a lower f ratio is better even in visual
It has to do with fov of eyepieces and other stuff
I have an 8" f/6 and it's great for planetary and DSO visual
Yeah it's as I said just checked, it mostly has to do with the afov of eyepieces
what about the fov?
Yeah but f/6 for a 255mm mirror is a lot of fl imo
Maybe I'll do an f/5, let's see what the people think first tho
1530mm, rookie numbers
Oh and the exit pupil is bigger too so in theory that should equate to a bit more light reaching your eyes
Bud I literally do dso at 1460mm
F/6 cuz good for planets still decent for dso
F/4 is meh but defo worth getting Choma corrector
Depends what you want
I don’t have a finder or guide scope currently on my imaging setup.
For the next couple nights should I? (context: ive already got 12hs of Lum and 10hs of RGB)
9
14
1
Shoot purely Lum
Just get white light solar film and make yourself a solar filter it’ll be much cheaper and work just as well.

Yes, though if you get a decent solar filter you can get into solar imaging.
if you vote no or other target please give suggestions
When the moon is so bright you either image narrowband or you image the moon
Alternatively you can do planets
that’s boring
Nah I love the moon
Well based on that philosophy I’d have to image the moon for my entire spring break
I will be doing a lot of lunar this week but not today lol
I can’t do planets sadly 😦

I was banned from a server for having a Donald Trump meme as a profile picture 💀
I was banned from here for pinging everyone despite a bot blocking my message from going through
I was banned from the astro blender project on discord because I posted an ai generated image of a blue gas giant in the planet references channel
I was timed out for telling someone to clean their mirror with gallium
why do you have 2 7's which 7 do i pick
The 7 that applies most to you.
betting it was thomas who did it
the only time that I knew it was Thomas was when I deserved it
yea thomas has no sense of humour
we love you Thomas (this is for legal reasons)
hes left the server
I live in B5 but within a mile I coulf get to b4 so I chose 3-5
But yeah true the 7 that applies to you
Do I buy a solar filter to capture the Tiangong solar transit?

Yes
Also, use a toothbrush to aggressively scrub the mirror
i used to play minecraft pvp servers and got banned for killing a mod since they thought i was hacking even tho i wasnt (mod's ultimate skill issue)
Sounds like a massive skill issue by the mod part. The guy can't stand losing.

Where's the "buy one" option?
Nah I'm making one, that's already decided
bruh there's no need to reinvent the wheel
how much does a 10" mirror cost even
An already made one? I've no idea. A 10" blank is roughly 100 bucks tho
Is it going to be the same quality as a commercially manufactured mirror?
It can actually be even better

it's useful if you know when to use it and when not to.
Highly depends on its usage - generative AI? shouldn't exist. But AI built for medical care and the advancement of our knowledge in scientific fields? Big yay
Medical care not in the sense of "Yeah you got a cold chief", but in the "Here's a lot of power to try to make sense of this situation that no one has yet figured out" way
pretty much this
AI is definitely a mixed bag - but generative AI is probably more destructive than it is good
they are, though, using AI on Euclid data to classify galaxies many times faster than any human could sift through the data and classify them by hand - of course, with human oversight

For me it answers a lot of very weird questions I get throughout the day, I’m a very curious person.
It’s cool for baking recipes too from experience, I have baked some nice stuff with it
It all depends on what u use it for and how u use it, a lot of people hate on it for not much of a good reason.
I hate how AI images and videos COVER the internet tho nowadays
It just makes me wanna pull my hair out, we are getting very close to the dead internet theory
The slop is everywhere
There are AIs that detect cancer years before it develops and AIs that make those brainrot sigma videos.
They are useful if you know how to use them
Brain rot AIs are the most useful. They show us the future
Let's hope that's not the case
What does that even mean?
My scope in on a UPS truck..that's my problem
Where is your scope going?
Back to my house from Celestron Glue Factory
Your scope was stuck back together?
What does it even look like?
Hahaha - naw, they tried to fix it but decided to send me a new one instead.
Sometimes it's so cold n humid when observing with my scope through eyepiece the warmth of my eye creates dew on the eyepiece
None.
Why none?
What does it look like?

I'm certainly going to upgrade my mount so after that I'll have approximately $500 or $550 left
what do you image with currently
nikon d7500, ioptron skytracker (not the pro, the old version) and a few stock lenses
However its a company dslr so I cant get it modified
And i'm in bortle 2 and really want to get some Ha in
I currently image with a stock dslr and don’t have pix. I’d personally go for Pix before a modded dslr.
You use a stock lens? Might want to upgrade that first instead actually
Ok i'll go for pix unless the poll says otherwise
I have a 50mm f1.8, 70-300mm f4-5.6 and a 18-55mm f3.5-5.6
So I guess the 50mm f1.8 isn't really stock but
The nifty fifty and a bunch of zoom lenses?
Yeah
Ive gotten nice results with the 70-300 so far though
Honestly you should maybe get a Rokinon or something like that instead of pic or a modded dslr
These are processes from others since my processing skills suck currently
But this is my data
Not bad
Both are shot at 300mm f5.6
Budget is $500
oh damn that 135mm f2 is hella appealing right now
Also I will be getting a star adventurer GTi off of CN classifieds unless you all have a better idea
Currently I have an ioptron skytracker
this little thing, she works well but i'd love go-to
F2 will make you fall in love with astro
You'll never want to use a slower lens
why nikon dslr and not astrocam
me using f/6.9 😰
Go f2. You will love jt
I might by the reducer to get F/5.2
Im gonna get an f/2, but first I need a uranus C
i love fast optics but i love galaxies more so i cant switch 😔
wait does a f/2 collect more light than an f/5
The lower the f/# the more light.
how does that work
anydesk
I dont
Forgot to add that option
it doesnt
Never heard of that, what is it
lower f ratio doesnt collect more light
my suspicions have been confirmed
they collect the same light (assuming same aperture), but the lower f ratio scope is less "zoomed in"
pixel scale is larger
more photons hit each pixel at the cost of resolution\
i think thats how it works
uhhhh
views will still be brighter
wait what
Well for a camera lens less light actually is captured on a higher f/#
Because it has actual aperture blades
OHHH, the world is fitting together as we speak
well yeah cause they are actually cutting out the light
scopes dont do that
Yea but it’s dimmer with a higher f/ so it’s just easy to say it’s less light
How’s anydesk work for you
works fine as long as you set each device to never go to sleep in settings and you have a stable internet connection
I couldn’t get windows Remote Desktop to work so I used chrome. Might try that out
because as soon as one goes to sleep or the internet cuts out you have to go back outside to accept the connection request on the laptop
Oh, I see
Does it work with phones?
Well I can zoom in
if it works itworks
I might try anydesk though. I’m getting a mini pc set up
id reccomend getting remote desktop working for that
cause unless you have a portable monitor and plugging it in every time you need to manage the connection is fine with you its gonna be painful
ah yea ig
probably will stick to chrome. Windows Remote Desktop doesn’t work for some reason. Chrome worked well (better on a laptop)
Download the app. Much easier to use
There’s an iPhone app?
Chrome remote desktop works well enough. Gets the job done of connecting to your laptop
Should be.
For chrome Remote Desktop? I can’t find one
Try looking it up
Look up chrome remote desktop download iPhone
Bc my Samsung does have it
Looks like it’s android only
alright
I dont have a scope
you dont need a scope with an astrocam
get an adapter
Yeah but I also don't have the money to get a nice astro cam anyways
yes you do
I'd rather get a 662mc than get a cheaper one and upgrade later
you have $1k
1k is enough for a nice astro cam
He said he’s upgrading his mount so he has $500
I will get a GTi though
still leaves enough for like a uranus c
Gti is good choice. I use it and it works well above what people said it could do
How much is that
400
fr?
uncooled is cheap
This?
yes
Does it even perform better than a dslr
massive difference
its even cheaper from their own site
Would it perform better than a modded dslr too?
i bought it on sale forgot exactly how much
yes
a dedicated astro cam will beat a dslr
it's still cheaper on their site and i bought it way less
maybe you can use wayback machine and go to August to see how much it was on their site
cause i bought it from their site in august
It’s $370 on their site
You can get an active cooling system for it? Does that actually work well?
lol ok
no
either get pro version that has proper tec cooling or get regular
i have regular
il probably wait to upgrade from my dslr until I got enough for a cooled one
the acs is only beneficial in solar imaging
I'm to scared to do otherwise.
sameee
NOOOOT
8” refractor
That is astronomically outside of my price range.
Reach for the stars ✨
Neither, get an rc, bc cool :3 (has a longer focal length, you can get a reducer to go from f8 or f7 to a faster f-stop, and it also produces sharp images :D, i belive its also good for visual but is a pain to collimate, so it isnt a good beginner scope.)
(you will also need a tracking mount)
(obv)
On average what would an 8” cost?
uhhhh
£900
you can get a 10" newt for £500 😭
Not that bad tbh, better than a sct. I’ll look into them.
For visual I'd get the SCT but for imaging the newt wins
Make sure the mount is stable cause a newt that fat acts as a wind sail
get a dome
ergonomic sct when????
with a sleek aerodynamic design
@eternal topaz @stuck lily just letting you know that the lenses I have currently are ass
The only lens good for AP that has a manual aperture control right now is my nifty fifty
However, since I am probably getting a rokinon, instead of upgrading to a modified dslr later I will get an astro cam when I do have the money
AnyDesk
yk you can get a dovetail plate on amazon for like $20?
fr? Let me look it up for a minute
Oh damn
here's the one I bought for my dslr if you want
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BR57MDC6?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1
The metal rail bar mounting plate with Vixen style dovetail is compatible with all standard Vixen style saddles manufactured by any brand. Two 3.5" (87.6mm) countersink slots are for balancing equipment installation. 0.25" (6.4mm) wide, the slots can hold M6 and 1/4" screws. Each slot also featur...
Anyway is there any reason to leave out a lens collar (other than the price)
it comes with bolts that work for camera body mount
idk sorry
Ill do some research, ty lol
Actually I think I will go with the dovetail plate and lens collar since I want to be able to rotate the fov
Don’t mount it on the camera, the lens will unnecessarily lean on the camera body. And could cause tilt
Dovetail and lens collar is the best tbh
yes but not when it costs that much
$200 is absurd, no way it costs that much
By $200 I meant a $50 dovetail plate from HPS and a $130 (plus tax) lens collar from rokinon
However upon research I found out that a redcat lens collar works fine on the rokinon
Which is $50
So instead of $200 it's now around $80 ($30 for the dovetail and $50 for the collar)
It’s crazy that hey ask 130 for a simple collar
That’s more reasonable, check aliexpress they might have cheaper options
I know
check for the dovetail, collar or both?
Both, why not
Yea

Setting your hand on fire!?
yea :3
the alcahol flame isnt really visible tho
ill have to redo it in the dark at some point
Redoing it is wild. Are you just a masochist?

Why?

lucky imaging orions core could be fun
bro is not lucky imaging m42 with a 450d and a 114lcm
m51 is hella bright yk
I was thinking about it
a lil big and a lil too dim for a first target
Your gonna be tracking right? with the star alignment
Yeah
But idk if im gonna use cpwi
Its hella complicated i tried using it and its just such a goofy interface
And i have to align with my laptop which is never accurate as good as remote controls
And if i align with my remote then connect it to cpwi i gotta restart
I can track but probs not platesolve
Or have any nina connection exept for the camera
Yeah ik i just cant do it due to where its positioned
ah mb didnt see that part
All good lol
then maybe leo triplet
the other two galaxies are really bright
the not hamburger ones
What would u say is brighter whirlpool or ring nebula?
Is the higher magnitude brighter or dimmer?
have you shot pinwheel
I mean whirlpool is mag 8
Never shot a dso
bro my brain is turning off
I got ring nebula through a eyepiece once
yea but ring is way smaller
And ring and whirlpool
very bright
True true
Great fov
With some repositioning i can fit all 3
And it would actually be super easy to manaully platesolve
are your edges of your fov bad
Wym
if they are id just try and get m65 and m66 in center
like coma
yo
Im new to all this ive only ever shot olanets
^
you have a dslr sensor so you probably will have pretty bad coma
just frame for m65 and m66 in center dont try and get hamburger in too
I need money for a astrocam
your stars look like they are trailing more as you go away from the centre of the image
no it’s a scope issue
hamburger is a lot dimmer anyways
ur scope is buns basically
Sounds about right
Even easier to manually platesolve
Well basically the same tbh
i said your dslr sensor affects it bc bigger sensors kinda crop out the coma less, but the coma comes from issues in the scope not the camera
Would the moon be a problem
probably
Yo calm down
Mbmb
Moon is worst for dso
Creates like b7 skies
Its best to wait or wait after moon sets
I have 2 weeks off school soon so i can maybe shoot more
You can try practice and learn your mistakes if you image tonight thats what I do
Yeah same
U from uk
Frrr
Same
Lmao
We in the same situation
Its best to wait sometimes its one of the best nights
Yeah i just wanna get out when i can
I had 3 very good Saturday's in this year
Before the early sunrise come
I relate bro
@west nova i forgot abt m82
Only 6?
But goes so wuick
extremely bright and further from moon
Then in year 9
6-7
Oh year cigar
We get 3 months usually, I have exams so I get zero but oh well
Yeah try image that it's best fro now
But we get loads spread out through the school year
Every 6-7 weeks we get 1 week off or 2 weeks or so
That's why, we don't
3 months still lot tho
Excluding Easter, Christmas and all that stuff
Should I get

@spiral parcel why would you spend it all?
there is some upgrades I need to do on my scope....
I could also try a super widefield (18mm 3.5, it's a 18-55 lens)
What do you all think
If your scope needs 10k to upgrade 😭 10k can buy a 20 or 24" dob from hubble optics

b) ZWO 2600MC Air
c) Televue 2" 2x powermate (both for visual and AP)
d) eyepieces:
-Televue 4.7mm Ethos SX, 13mm Ethos, 18.2mm Delite, 24mm Panoptic
-Baader 9mm morpheus
e) 2" Optolong L-Ultimate filter (both for visual and AP)
