man 5k is a hefty budget, well first things first: usually nebulae and galaxies need to separate telescopes as nebulae are mostly large and don't require as much fl and galaxies are the opposite, which also means needing a better mount that's capable of tracking heavier scopes
What do you mean by “hefty budget”? Do I need more?
hefty budget means it is quite a lot, you can get quite decent stuff for that price
what he said, you can get some top tier equipment
Hmm
Like what do recommend?
that depends on a bunch of stuff, like how mobile do you want the kit to be, how much do you think you will upgrade in terms of telescope size/weight and if you want to go with a mono cam or color
mono wil take like half the budget tho
I dont have a problem with mobility, I have a car that has enough space, I don’t think I can upgrade for some time and what is the difference between mono and Color
with mono you shoot one color at a time while on color cams you acquire RGB at the same time. Mono gives you much more signal but it's way more expensive
for the mount if you plan on moving often, but even if you aren't, I would suggest an harmonic drive mount. They've gotten good and cheap enough to make it worth buying over something more traditional like an eq6-r
