#is there a difference between uranus -c and Uranus-C pro

Cooling is the difference but it has a huge impact
ah
I mean my plan is to do planetary
The Uranus C pro has an integrated peltier element and an a cooler (active cooling), which is important, as fenice already said.
Due to this active cooling you are able to take darks any time you‘d like and you get exposures that have a better SNR (signal to noise ratio), because we avoid thermal noise. Because of that we have to take less lightframes in order to match the same SNR-value.
This is mainly important for deep sky. For planetary its not necessary.
Ah ok thank u for the advice guys
I am planning to focus on planetary at first but hope to slowly progress into DSO
You could technically still use the uncooled version for deep sky. But if you want to „buy once, cry once“, I‘d go for the cooled version.
Keep in mind though that the cooled version needs to be additionally powered by a dc-cable.
Okay, i will look more into this
