For DSO definitely not, i started this way and the mount cannot track or slew accurately enough to do DSO imaging effectively even at F6.3 with the wedge, youd be looking at 30s exposures at the max (Even then may get some trailing) id highly recommend avoiding the 8SE for DSO, planetary it works great, same for visual
if I wanted could i upgrade the mount to an advanced VX later down the line
Of all mounts that's not something I'd get for a c8 or even in general
on astrobin thats what its commonly used with
